Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day to one of the best dads out there. These boys hit the jackpot in the dad department.  Nothing but love for this man.  Randy was meant to be a dad.  He's a natural.

I also hit the jackpot in the dad department.  Look at him rocking his tank top.  There couldn't be a more perfect daddy for me.  I love him so much.

My mom always hosts such a fun Father's Day BBQ.  I think she was wanting a little love.

Not forced one bit.

I have to include the poster we made for Randy.  I'm bringing the candy poster back.  It looked like this for about 2 minutes before the kids devoured it.

Camping With the Felix Fam

We planned an impromptu camping trip with the Felix family at the pool the other day.  The kids were swimming and got talking.  We were going camping, the Felix's were going camping so why not combine our trips.  It took us awhile to find a spot but we settled in here, right next to Strawberry Reservoir.

We settled into Griff's camper and had a pretty crazy night with these two.  Diabetes really cramps our style sometimes.  Good thing it doesn't phase these kids.  I'm grateful for their sensors.  Otherwise I would've never known we had a bad site until Hank woke up sick the next morning.  

After we made breakfast, the kids broke out the BB guns and started blasting every soda can they could find.

Avery and Sam hit it off!

Just as much as Addie and Griffy.  It's so fun to travel with fellow dog lovers.

We decided against making lunch and ate at this cute little lodge.  Colby and Cooper are such good friends to their buddy Doodle. 

It was a short but very sweet little getaway.  I'm looking to many more camping trips with friends this summer.

Mets and Cardinals

Coach Randy certainly deserved a celebratory dunking after the stellar season both the Cardinals and the Mets had.  The Mets ended the regular season with a 1 seed and the Cards earned a 2 seed.  The tournament was intense to say the least. 

The Cardinals ended up taking 4th in the city and the Mets lost a heartbreaker in the championship game to take 2nd.

There were several nights, I was running back and forth between fields while they played at the same time.  Randy was also running back and forth coaching both teams.  It was crazy but so much fun.

As a new team of almost all 5th graders, these boys did amazingly well.  

The director of the league shared with the crowd that Randy is the only guy he trusted to coach two teams this season.  He got some well deserved recognition.  He amazes me with these kids.  To have so much success with both teams is unheard of.  The kids and parents adore him.

Matt Felix was right by Randy's side encouraging these boys every game.  Hank is so lucky to have them both as his coaches.  They love Doodle!

I feel bad I didn't get a picture of Max's team after the tournament.  Randy was coaching another game at the same time and it was pretty hectic.  After they lost, Max wasn't in the picture taking mood either.

My parents were just as invested in the boys teams as we were.  They know all the players, and all the parents.  Sitting by them at every game is almost as fun as watching the boys play.

Poor Izzy had to celebrate her birthday at the ballpark since both boys were still in the tournament.  The family support for Hank and Max is off the charts.

I can't wait for these kids to play in the state tournament next month!

As much as I love baseball season,  I'm ready for a little break.  It has been pretty stressful managing two teams as well as two diabetics with a game nearly every single night.  I'm constantly checking their dexcoms only to find a situation like this.

They sure roll with it well though.

Randy and Matt hosted a fun post season BBQ with the team and their families.

How can you not have fun when there is a dunk tank involved.  Max thoroughly enjoyed dunking Hank.

And this is why Randy is the best coach ever.

Sam and Max even got in on the action.  Poor Randy got dunked so many times in the freezing dirty water.  He's such a good sport and the kids will never forget this. Now let's take state!! 

Summer is Here!

The snow cone shack is open for business which means summer has officially begun.

Any bets on how long that snow cone stayed off the pavement?

Hank had a blast at the Lehi High School basketball camp.  He earned the title of Best Defensive Player.

I hosted a meet and greet event for newly diagnosed families in Utah County.  My mom agreed to come and talk to some of the grandparents of these newly diagnosed kids.  She has a way of connecting with people quickly.  They loved her, no surprises there.

The fact Hank will just sit on her lap without thinking twice about it speaks volumes.

She's simply adorable!

We are putting our pool passes to good use already.

Keeping Hank and Max's sites on is proving to be a bit difficult with all our pool time.

Sam is the best sport ever at all the baseball games this month.  I shutter to think how much money I've spent at the snack shack this season.  You know it's sad when the workers know us by name and what treats Sam likes.

Jack and Tucker make the endless baseball games much more fun for Sam.

The kiddie pool is officially full and will be until August 30th.

My sweet boyfriend got his summer haircut.

Sam's outfits have been on point this summer.  He insists on dressing himself.

Poor little tyke has to sneak a nap in whenever he can get one.

Summertime means it's finally time to break out the bleach.

Max couldn't be happier about it.

Hank went for the skunk look.

It won't be long until Sam inherits his brothers love of bleach.

After Max's final season with North Utah County Soccer, he tried out for an Arsenal team and made it!  He's playing on a team a year older than most of his friends since they changed the age rules.  Twice a week this summer, he's attending a soccer camp and loving it!  He's easy to spot with his white locks.

We've even managed to get a few rounds of golf in.  Here are three of the most competitive boys you will ever meet.  They expect perfection even though they hardly ever play.  The intensity is insane!  They're throwing clubs already, heaven help me.

The Lehi Round-up is a summertime must.

It wouldn't be summer without a visit from my favorite band.  It was the perfect night with my two boyfriends. We are hitting the ground running with our summer festivities.  It's going to be epic!
