Fun with the Boys

After last weeks mysterious rash, which Max has made a full recovery from, and our families various illnesses we got out today to burn off some built up energy. Kangaroo Zoo is the perfect place to do it. It's really hard to get hurt on blow up slides, however I wouldn't put it past my kids. Thanks for the invite Annalisa! It was quite hilarious watching us struggle up the ladders with Max and Cohen. Talk about feeling like a total spaz!

The best part of our adventure was coming home and having two very happy and very exhausted boys ready for naps! I think we need a season pass.

What's Wrong With My Baby?

My poor little Mino-man!! He has the most horrible rash/hives and Dr. Weipert has no idea what the cause is. It may be food related but I can't think of anything new he's been eating. If anyone has any answers for me I would appreciate it. The doctor ruled out strep or ear infections so I'm giving him benadryl and hoping for the best.

Would his mother wipe his nose? He's still adorable despite the flesh eating disease!

Lost Finally!

I am so excited for tomorrow!!! I've been waiting what seems an eternity for this season and in a few short hours the suspense will be over. Oh, how my mind misses being shocked, confused and freaked by the insanity of Lost.

Toontown Mania

Toontown has officially taken over the lives of the Griffin household. Hank is obsessed and Randy and I are quickly becoming just as addicted to it. Every night when Max goes to bed, Randy and I sit on either side of Hank and play. Grandpa Griff and Hank are slowly killing every cog in toontown together. Hank gets so excited when he sees that Grandpa is online. Our family is suffering from a nasty cold right now but Hank continues to push through the illness and accomplish his toon tasks. He is committed!

Monster Trucks Baby!

Randy, Hank, and I went to the Monster Truck Rally on Saturday and as you can tell from the picture it was pretty awesome...I guess. Hank loved it and that's all the matters. A monster truck that looks like a dinosaur, what more could a boy want? It was a good thing we had ear plugs since Hank has issues with loud noises. I love this kid and his "safety first" mantra.

He really loved the motorcycles, mostly because it much quieter than the monster trucks.

Max decided he would rather hang with Grandma Jackie and Grandpa Curt so he missed the monster truck mayhem . I took these pictures of him before church in his new Christmas outfit my mom gave him. I can't stand how adorable he looks. He can never take it off. Hank was wearing an equally amazing outfit but was too busy throwing a fit to have his picture taken. Oh, and for the record he hates Sunbeams.

Happy Birthday Randy and Happy New Year!

My sweet Randy turned 31 on the 31st! I guess I'll forgive him for having a birthday a week after Christmas. We had a very eventful day starting with Hank waking him up to open his presents around 7. He said, "Dad, here are your presents, you got 2 sweaters". Next, we went sledding with Randy's family and Max was hilarious. He got in a sled, face down and Scott pulled him up and down the hill. You can't even tell there is a baby in the sled, it just looks like a pile of coats. He fell asleep in that position. I think my kids may be too little to really enjoy sledding.

Since Randy's birthday falls on New Years Eve, I've become the host for his birthday/new years party every year. I made Cafe Rio style burritos that turned out fantastic. The kids ate with us and then Jenni found a last minute babysitter. They had a great time running wild at Jenni's house and the adults had a great time running wild here. We played Guitar Hero and the Wii all night long. I'm still stiff from boxing against Sarah, who kicked my butt by the way. What a fantastic way to bring in the New Year, surrounded by my favorite people in the world.

Rick flew in from Portland and the party wouldn't have been the same without him.

Max was there if you were wondering. He turned in around 8:30 and I can't believe he slept through all the ruckus. Thank you to everyone who came. Randy, I'm so glad you were born 31 years ago, wow you are old!

Ice Skating

This goes down as one of the most ambitious things I've done with my kids. We went ice skating with the Bromley family a few days ago at Seven Peaks and what an adventure. They had skates small enough for Max and Erica. Try putting ice skates on a 15 month old if you want an impossible task. It was hilarious and kind of sad seeing him try to walk in them. Needless to say, Randy and I were exhausted before we even started skating. Max lasted one lap with skates and then decided it was a great idea to walk on the ice with his shoes on. I'm pretty sure he was responsible for a few collisions of innocent bystanders. How cute are those little ice skates?

Randy and I took turns watching Max, off the ice, and the other helped Hank. He absolutely loved ice skating and got better with each time around the rink. It was really fun exposing him to a new thing and I'm really proud of him for giving it a real try.
