Novemeber 10, 2015

Today we received our first snow of the season.  I really hope we get hammered by snowstorms like this all winter long.  I can't wait to hit the slopes with the kids.  

Sam couldn't wait to get his snow gear on and play.

Oh to be 4 again!  Pure joy from the most simple things.  I need to be more like that.

After playing in the snow all day, Sam got to go to his first friend birthday party, without his mommy, gasp!! Kennedy invited Sam, along with 5 of her best girlfriends to head to Lowe's Xtreme Air Sports.  Sweet Cohen ended up being Sam's pal as the girls all stuck together.  Annalisa sent me all these darling pictures.  She knew I was a little nervous having him away from me for so long.

 

It's surreal to see Sam with Annalisa's kids.  I love that we are able to raise our kids across the street from each other.  

As all the 6 year old girls were belting out Taylor Swift songs, Sam was out cold.  Poor little tyke likes to pretend he's their age but when it comes down to it, he's still a little 4 year old.  He had so much fun but I don't know if I'm ready for him to be so independent.  I missed him!

Lazy Sunday's

After a very busy October, our family was in need of a lazy Sunday.

Sam was very curious about the latest Netflix series Randy has been watching.

I got some cuddle time with my boyfriend.  Best therapy around.

Sam and Randy had some intense Candyland matches.  As long as Sam wins everyone stays happy.  This kid is so competitive.

Max started his own You Tube channel and figured out a way to record himself playing Minecraft.  I'm not sure anyone is watching his videos but it's keeping him very busy.  His commentary while he plays is everything!

Halloween 2015

Sam and Tucker had the coolest costumes Bear Hollow Preschool has ever seen.  I got a chuckle watching Donatello and Storm Trooper at their Halloween party.

They didn't break character once!









The kids were amazed by Miss Molly's witches brew.



Sam briefly took off his mask so he could eat his delicious witches brew.



They had time at the end of the party for a quick train ride around the neighborhood.



Porter was done being a Ninja Turtle.  Sam on the other hand, couldn't get enough.



The kids look forward to Grandma Jeri's annual Halloween party every year.  She does such a good job making it fun for all the kids.  I know it's a lot of work for her but it's a definite memory the kids will never forget.



The next day was officially Halloween.  Two ninja's and a hot dog!



Sam and I love going to the school's parade.  Here comes my awesome ninja.



Max always plans on being something different for Halloween, but he can't seem to break his ninja streak.  Nothing is quite as cool.



And here comes my hot dog!  Hank was so pumped when he found this costume.  Such a 5th grader.



I was in charge of Max's class party later that day.  Max was making some cool bat decorations.



I can't fail to mention my darling helper.  He was in charge of making sure all the kids had a drink to go with their nachos.  He took his responsibilites very seriously.



We couldn't escape the pumpkin carving.  The kids wouldn't allow it.  Luckily they are getting old enough to help.



Hank insisted I save the seeds for roasting.

Almost time for trick or treating, finally!  Griffers was less than impressed with his costume.  He kept it on most of the night, bless his heart.  These two hot dogs are a match made in heaven.





The kids were so anxious to start trick or treating.  I didn't really see them the rest of the night. I sent Hank and Max with their testers and prayed for diabetes to cooperate.  It did for the most part.  They both went low a few times, good thing they had bags full of sugar with them.

Tucker and Jack didn't dissapoint with their incredible costumes.



Izzy and Lucy were so cute to join us for a little while before heading out with their friends.



It won't be long before this little cutie is out there joining everyone.



I love having everyone over on Halloween.  It's crazy and chaotic but I wouldn't have it any other way.  Gina and Brandon stopped by with their kids and we got a late night visit from Papa Smurf and Waldo (Todd and Erica).  Halloween is always a marathon holiday and this year was no different.  It was one of the best yet!

Evil Ball 10

Evil Ball 10 was one for the books.  I told Randy I wantd to dress up as a 70's chick so naturally he rented an Austin Powers costume.  

I had my make up done by an artist at Taylor Maid.  I had 10 pounds of make up on, at least!

Bam!

Jenni was dying to get an Evil Ball experience.  I'm so glad she came.  She was the hit of the party.  Arrrrrrrrrrgh!!

Phil's costume this year was a doozy.  Sir Walter Raleigh, aka Joey Watts, brought his A game.

Jenni had her hook out all night.

Riley even made an appearence.  I made him take that creepy mask off.

Funniest Costume Award

These two definietly earned the title.

Pretty sure Warren Jeffs and his wives won the scariest.

It wouldn't be a party without Gangsters Paradise.  It's his jam.

What a crazy nights full of dancing, acting a fool, and laughing until I cried.  It was just the night out we needed.
