As winter fast approaches I'm very curious what other moms with a 3 1/2 year old and a 1 year old do to pass the time. Am I the only one who feels like their child is turning into Spongebob and slowly becoming a computer junkie? I really want to do fun things with my kids but I am totally out of ideas. What's fun for Hank is misery for Max. For example, I took the kids to the Living Planet Aquarium last week and Hank had a blast. That place is really cool but as you can see by the picture, Max was hating it! Don't worry I bought a season pass so if anyone ever wants to go with us, I'm down.
Hank and I had fun but after two hours Max was completely out of control. Then we came home, ate lunch, Max took a thirty minute nap and it was only 2:30!!! Yesterday, around 4:30 when both me and my kids were bored out of our minds, the boys were fighting over toys and it got me wondering if other moms are in my situation or if they are making crafts or doing service projects to make the world a better place. I don't know what people do without t.v. or movies? I guess they are much better moms than me. I realize my kids are at hard ages to take places and perhaps it's just a phase where we really can't do much. I'm sick of winter already and it hasn't even started!

oh sister. come june you'll have PLENTY to do!!! and just so you know...everyone but you is doing service projects with their kids. i, for one, still think sponge bob is cooler.
I have the same problem, the only thing that has saved me this year is Ari being old enough to play with friends in the neighborhood, and going to school. And are you kidding, service projects and crafts for the kids? LOL!!! I am feeling good if I just keep them from killing eachother.
Sorry. I am no help. I am wondering the same thing. At least your kids watch t.v. Eli will watch one show and only one episode and then he is done. And demands my attention all the time. He never plays by himself.
Maybe you should bring your kids over to my house once in awhile to play for a couple hours while you ran errands or took a nap. Maybe the change in scenery would be fun for them. I know Eli would love to have a buddy to play with and Hallie would like to play with someone her size too.
It's good to know that aquarium is fun. I was going to take the kids since Gary is gone for a week, but I think I'll wait until he gets back to take them. I've always wondered if that place was any good. If Hank likes it I bet Madi would get a kick out of it too!!
As far as winter activities go... Madi loves being outside so she just puts her coat on and goes in the back to play.. Maybe start a little play group in the neighborhood... That might be fun. Good luck!
I'd be up for a winter play group. I also has season passes to the aquarium i'll go anytime you want. any other ideas i'd love to hear too.
Aaaa winter. I'm dreading it! Ever been to Jungle Jim's? Indoor rides galore. Good times. Meet me there sometime. Or maybe we could go can some jam with the kids for the homeless instead... Hmmmm
