Yesterday we had quite the extravaganza for my sweet little Hank's 4th birthday. We started the day off with presents from Randy, Max, and I. Hank got a new scooter, some trucks, and a new game for his smart cycle. Then we heard some excellent singing from all of Hank's friends and family who called to wish him happy birthday. I tried to convince Hank to go to Bajio for lunch but I suppose it was his birthday, so we went to McDonald's instead. Sarah joined us on her lunch break which Hank loved.

Max needed some attention so he fell on the tile earlier that morning and his teeth went through his top lip and chipped his two front teeth! I will have to blog about that later because I can't even deal with it right now. Poor little guy needs a mouth guard and veneers quick! Anyway, back to the birthday, we went home and got ready for the party at the bowling alley.

Hank was so excited to watch his ball hit the pins! Nice action shot Sarah. All the cousins were so supportive of one another, it was really cute to watch. Hank is quite the bowler...103, not bad for a 4 year old.

Max hates bowling, or should I say, I hate taking Max to the bowling alley. Probably the worst possible place to take a 16 month old. He was dying to run down the lanes or pick up a bowling ball and have it fall on his foot. You can tell he is really pissed in these pictures. He hates being contained.

Hank only wanted to invite his cousins and they were all there, including baby Russell. On a side note, I love that Sarah is starting to show now.

This picture is beyond priceless. It's hard to tell but if you look close Hank is crying his eyes out for some unknown reason. I think he was mad because he wanted to take his bowling ball home.

Next, we went back to the house for Pizza, pinata, presents and cake and ice cream. Hank wanted a pirate theme. The treasure chest pinata was a hit!

Dyson really beat the crap out of the pinata. Check out Hank jumping for joy in the background. Nice form Dyson!

Thank you for coming everyone. Hank loves you all so much. He is so lucky to be part of such a wonderful, supportive family.

Hank and Randy

After all that...he still wanted to play Toon Town. Grandpa Griff, Rusty, and Hank all played for a few hours before bed. What a perfect ending to a fun filled day. I am so proud of Hank. He is such a precious little boy. I am so blessed to be his mom. Happy Birthday buddy!
The celebrating continued today at preschool. Hank brought treats for his class and they all sang to him and gave him birthday wishes.

He had to bring "Lionheart" his dog, to show the class.
Man, I need a nap!

Holy cow! You guys know how to party! I love birthdays for the little kids. They look so forward to them and they love being the center of attention. Did you whip out that cool pirate cake in your free time?
Are you kidding me with action shot of Sarah's? I think she found her calling. How freakin sweet is Hank? Probably the nicest, greatest and cutest kid that I know.. Maybe if I wasn't teaching and not getting paid i could have come and enjoyed such festivities. Also maybe if kids wouldn't threaten to kill other kids at school I wouldn't be stuck writing papers about it all afternoon. But none-the-less I cannot get enough of your kids!
This may take a few comments... first things first-- Hank couldn't be any cuter. My favorite NEW 4 year old, by far. His dance moves at the bowling ally could give Randy a serious run for his money.
Spell Check...Alley
Second of all, thank you from the bottom of my heart for not posting that horrific picture of me in the background eating pizza..I've been worried about that one ever since it was taken....
third of all..
Thanks for the shout out to RUSSELL. I'll be sure and show Brett that one. Glad he could join in on the fun... At Hank's next birthday I'm sure he'll be just about as much fun as Max. If you find a helmet/mouth guard...buy my little rat one too..I can't deal with boy injuries!
happy birthday hank!! what a party! poor little max, my mouth hurts just thinking about it.
What a cutie! Four is such a fun age. I agree with you that bowling is NOT the place for a toddler, but kids love it! I'm so sorry about Max's teeth. I have nightmares about that kind of thing.
What a fun birthday. Lots of family makes it even better. Cute cake. Happy birthday Hank.
I want these cute grandkids to STOP growing!! It was bad enough when their parents grew up! Cute cute pictures and it was an excellent party! Next year I think the grandparents should try to hit that dang pinata~
Looks like you had so much fun. I don't blame you for being exhausted.

Hank needs me to squish the living crap out of him! I know he hates it when I get that look in my eye... but I love to squish his ears and face...(sounds terrible but in a very loving way) sure love him, he's my favorite nephew and I love that kid so much.
p.s. shout out to you for being smarty pants of the week! Ohh who knew saving could be such fun!
great family photo.
Happy birthday Hank!
