Golfing Griffin Style

We are willing summer to come! Saturday afternoon we headed up to the golf course with the kids. It was late enough in the day that we didn't have anyone behind us, so we could take our time and let the kids run wild. The wind was blowing really hard and it wasn't that warm but we were determined to do something outside with the kids. Hank had his own clubs and was loving it, Max was the ball retriever for Hank and he developed a new little gallop in his step (kind of like he's riding the pony), Randy was getting frustrated with the golf game but still had fun and me...

That was my tee shot on a par 3...not too shabby! I managed to play pretty good despite all the distractions.

The boys had fun trying to find Randy's ball. Max is a maniac running down hills. He has no fear. This was a slow motion recap.

Hank has the golfing bug! He wants to hit anything and everything in his path. He's got really good hand eye coordination. Randy was coaching him and Hank really listened to what he told him to do.

I found the answer to my biggest stress with my kids. They don't eat and when they do, it's usually not the most healthy choice. Hank would much rather have a strictly liquid diet so when we tried the V-8 fusion at Costco and they both loved it...I was all for it. It has a full serving of fruits and VEGETABLES in each cup. No more cooking for me!

I am pretty sure that I have the palette of a small child, I could live on a diet of strictly yogos and V-8 Fusion! We must have braved the aisles of Costco the same day, because I too tried it there and fell in love!

Us too are looking for any opportunity to get outside with the kids...soccer, baseball, bike rides, haven't tried golf yet. Maybe next weekend!
I'll have to give V-8 fusion a try - sounds like a great solution to meal-time-madness!!

I have that exact same problem with Isaac and eating. I will have to give those a try. When all else fails, he gets an instant breakfast.

V-8, I'm going to have to try it out! Cohen who once was a garbage disposal will not eat a thing unless it's sweet of course, but he'll drink and drink and drink all day long. I have to make him smoothies in the morning just so he gets some fruit in his diet.

do you think i could use v-8 instead of nursing? maybe laudel would go for that.

Hey, I'm all for V-8 instead of the teet. Just ask my mom. She gave me Gatorade and I turned out just fine. (except for a small twitch and the voices in my head, but over all just fine) Love Jessie

Cool I want to go golfing and now i'm not pregnant yea. I love those drinks they are awesome. Savannah doesn't eat either and the doctor told me to give her carnation instant breakfast chocolate drink. That's good too.

I think Hank will be the next Tiger Woods... look at that swing - that concentration! Keep working on that and he can support you and Randy in your old age... maybe even his grandma!!

Nice swing on Hank. Not sure it's the wisest thing to let Randy coach him but as long as he's having fun! Just yankin' your chain Randy. Can't wait to get out and play with you guys!
