Labor Day and Return to Bear Hollow Preschool

We had a fantastic Labor Day weekend. Hank's dream came true when Nicole came over with her family on Saturday for a BBQ. I don't know where my camera was because there were priceless moments of awkwardness between the two of them. He was literally counting down the minutes until they arrived, but once they got here he didn't say a word. Being 14, I'm sure Nicole had more important things to do than hang out with a 4 year old but she stayed for a few hours to make Hank happy. I'm quite proud of myself for actually being a neighbor and having some friends over! Randy was super pumped about the outcome of the BYU game that night.
Monday afternoon we went to the Bee's final home game. We had tickets in the suites which was the ideal place to watch a game with kids. Max ate approximately 1 pound of m&m's.

Before the game started we ran into "Balloon Granny" who hooked the kids up with some sweet balloon animals.

Hank requested a giraffe and Max opted for a sword. She even made him a holder for it! The Bee's lost but there were many home runs hit to keep us entertained and I ran into one of my long-time friends, Mica, whom I haven't seen in 4 years.

Hank started school this week at Bear Hollow Preschool with Miss Molly. It is amazing to see how much he has grown up from last year. He has so much confidence this year. In fact he already has invitations to play with some kids in his class.

Unfortunately I had to work on Hank's first day, but his very capable dad got him styled and ready. He got to take Jeff Hardy (his bear) to school for their teddy bear picnic.

Max loves his brother and hates when he leaves!

Since he had to wear his Bear Hollow shirt on the first day, he was excited to wear his new skate boarding shirt today. He is so adorable I can't stand it. He needs to stop growing up so freaking fast!

Now for my second born child...he is hilarious! His love of music continues to grow. He loves anything with a strong beat. His latest request is "Back", meaning Justin Timberlake's song "Sexy Back". He also loves "mom's song" which means pretty much any 311 tune. I couldn't be more proud as a mother. Randy was mowing the lawn the other day and Max positioned himself out on the deck with my ipod shuffle and sat for an hour.

His hair is long enough to rock the faux hawk. He brings me the gel every morning and says "hawk".
Let's see, what have I been up to...well, I'm trying to figure out my new directv remote and searching high and low for the perfect outfits for our family pictures tomorrow. Oh, I've also been entertaining these two rats and making sure their sippy cups are full.

I can hardly wait to see your family portraits! I know that they will be unbelievably beautiful as always. Also Max's faux hawk is the the greatest thing that I have seen. He looks so grown up I can't even handle it. Also I love that we both blogged about direct tv in the same day! Direct tv might be the greatest thing that has happened in my life in 2009. Is that too bold of a statement?

The boys are TOO cute!! They have grown up so much, even over the last month! Every picture was absolutely adorable, but the one of Max hugging Hank before he left for school is pretty much priceless. Glad to see all is well! I love a little boy that loves going to school!

that picture of max hugging hank goodbye is so cute.-- maybe max is going to be a little break dancer - he could be the next justin timberlake.

these boys are too much.
jack's hair, or lack thereof, can only hope to rock a hawk like those two some day.
