Snow in March?

Last Friday we had the biggest snow storm of the winter. I looked out the window after I got dressed and quickly realized I needed to rethink my spring-like attire. On the way home from preschool Hank proudly exclaimed "Mom, we need to go sledding today. It's the perfect day!" Normally I would come up with some excuse why we couldn't go but he got a sled for Christmas that we hadn't used so I thought...o.k why not. I'll get off my lazy butt and take him sledding at my moms. After Max's nap we headed over to get our sled on.

My dad was so excited to have us over. He quickly paved the way for some serious sled action to happen. Max made a few runs and then decided it would be best to head up to the house and eat some of grandma's freshly baked cookies.

Hank and I had an epic snow ball fight.

He is the biggest stud on the planet! He trudged up the hill about 50 times. I love the positioning of his hat!

Since Randy is still out with his injury...I did the dad thing and built Hank a jump.

Look at that form!

He doesn't even need gloves...that's how hard core he is.

His hair is wet from sweat! He gets his good looks from his mama!

As we walked up to my moms Hank said "See mom, I told you that was a genius idea". Yes it was sweetie. I enjoyed every second of it!

The best thing about a foot of snow in March is that it's already melted! Bring on spring!

Hank's face sans gloves is probably the cutest thing ever and he should probably do commercials about sledding because he is too cute. My most favorite part though is his use of the word "genius" that's a kid after my own heart.

Also I think your mom wins the award for grandma of the year! Of course she had freshly baked cookies!

Oh man...haven't been on my computer all afternoon.
It's a good thing I wasn't there...I would have stolen Hank for good. Those pictures are too much. His hat! UH!! Too too much. You are a good mama to indulge him and his 5 year old energy. I think I may have taken the Max route and eaten cookies inside!

PS..when you going to get with it and turn OFF your word verification? everyone who's anyone is doing it.

You are a good mom to embrace the moment and enjoy the snow with your kids. I think I am getting too old! I would have made up the excuse and returned to the couch to sit on my lazy butt! cute pics!!

HOW FUN!!! I'm still milking the baby excuse. (Which you will have to use next winter, right?!) "Oh honey, I'm so sorry. We can't go sledding cause the baby can't be out in the cold that long." Works every time! Mother of the Year right here!
