Hank has officially graduated with flying colors from Bear Hollow Preschool. I can't believe how much my little guy has grown up this past year in school. Although he is still pretty soft spoken and shy, I've seen him start to come out of his shell and make some new friends. He took his role as Jack Be Nimble quite seriously in their end of the year program. He held on to that candlestick for dear life and was more than ready when his part came up. He chose to be Jack because of his cousin Jack, obviously!
There were parts of the program where he was belting the words with such conviction, I thought he might pop a blood vessel! Towards the end, Miss Molly had awards for each of the kids; for example, most improved reader, best counter, best at coloring, and fastest runner. After nearly 30 awards, Hank was left sitting alone. She told the crowd she left Hank for last. She said, "notice how patiently Hank has been waiting, I saved him for the last for a reason...this is how he is every day at school. When the rest of the class is shouting for my help, Hank quietly waits for his turn and politely asks for some help. He is so respectful and sweet." So what award did he win.....drum roll please!
What more could a mother want? I am so proud of my little guy I feel like I could burst at the seams! At his final parent teacher conference she told me he is more than ready for Kindergarten. No surprise there. I have to admit I got a bit emotional telling Molly good bye. She has been such a big part of our lives for the past two years. I told her to take the next year to rest and prepare for this little monster!
His proud dad was there also but busy taking Max to the bathroom!

what a sweetheart. there is no better award than most polite, especially for a little boy! sad but fun that school is out, now its summer and time for the trampoline... yes i'm fishing for a jumping invite...
Way to go Hank! "Most Polite"? Wow! And he is even Randy's kid!! Heee Hee! No really, It doesn't surprise me a bit! He is such a darling boy. I wish once again that he and Alex could get together.
I, Hank's second mother, could've cried when they announced his award. Coming from a teacher...you don't just hand out those types of awards/compliments. I can imagine exactly how Mrs. Molly felt about him...a fave fo' sho'!
And that picture of Max is perfect, by the way. rat.
and why does your blog stalker tracker say i'm from layton, ut? wtf?
What a stud! So proud of you Hank! Now that summer is almost here let's plan a weekly play date for the boys. We could do the zoo, discovery museum, picnic in the park,... Aw hell, who am I kidding, Just have the boys come over and they can play Wii all day! :)
Yah for Hank! Snow Springs.. here he comes! He'll have a lot of cousins watching out for him next year... how cool.
And that picture of Max with the word Monster under it... ha ha ha! He's a cute freakin Monster!
Oh man! Hank is such a sweet little man. I cannot believe he is on to real school. Uhhh when did he get so old? Mino called Rusty to proudly announce he was potty trained. That kid kills me.
Go Hank!! That is awesome he got the most polite award. I think that is the best compliment for a mother. So, go Annie!!
Isn't it sad to see them growing up so fast. We still need to have Hank come play with Eli. Maybe he can teach Eli some politeness skills!
