All About Mino on his 9th Birthday

My sweet little Mino had a birthday this week.  His birthday just happens to be 4 days before his
dia-versary. The way this boy has handled his first year of diabetes is nothing short of inspirational.  He has been brave, positive, and flat out heroic, exceeding my every expectation.

He requested an afternoon at Top Golf to celebrate his health.

Of course a gigantic ice cream sandwich was in order.

Wii U game, clothes, and his favorite gift...

A huge outdoor goal!

Max is the best person to give gifts to.  He has the best reactions ever!

As he headed off to school he realized the Flamingo Boyz came!

He got lots of attention at the bus stop that morning.

Of course we had a little lunch date check out.

Time to PARTAY!!

Lots of Real Salt Lake gear

Stupid diabetes tried to ruin the party but Max wouldn't allow it.

As you can see everyone loves Maxi boy.  There is definitely only one Max J Griffin.  He marches to the beat of his own drum.  I admire how true to himself he is.  He's fiercely loyal and sensitive.  He is willing to try new things without fear of failure.  I admire that.

A few days after his birthday, we took Shep-dawg, Co-diggety, and Kenny to a Real Salt Lake Game.

Such darling boys!  We had so much fun.

His last birthday wish was to bleach his hair.

Wish granted!  He looked in the mirror and beamed with happiness.  "Woah, I look amaze-balls" was his reaction.  So perfectly Mino.  Love this little stud with my whole heart.  Hope it was his best birthday yet.
