Babies Love Hank and Early Morning Water Balloon Fights

Hank is Max's favorite person in the family these days. 85% of the time, Hank is the sweetest brother in the world to Max. My favorite thing is bringing Max out into the living room in the morning, he anxiously looks around the corner for Hank. The second he spots his big bro, an instant grin comes to his snaggle toothed mouth. He lets out a sweet "Haaaaane!" (that's how he says Hank)

We got to babysit Jack last night and it's safe to say he's in love with Hank as well. Hank is so patient and attentive to him. He always seems to know what Jack wants. He'll say, "Mom, Jack is a little cold, I think he needs a blanket", or "Mom, Jack needs his binky". Sure enough, once those things are in order Jack is happy as can be, as seen in this picture. Hank always knows what Max is trying to tell me too. He's like the baby whisperer. This will definitely come in handy when we have another baby.

I bought Hank some water balloons yesterday and he is obsessed. I don't think there are many parents out there having water balloon fights with there kids at 8:00 in the morning. I'm sure our neighbors were wondering what was going on in our back yard.

The sheer joy on Hank's face says it all. My first instinct was to tell him it was too early to have a water fight, it makes such a mess, we have things to do today, etc etc. I'm so glad I just went along with it. There is nothing more important than spending time with my family. Those are the kind of memories I will treasure forever.
