There is nothing more sad than watching a 2 year old throw up/dry heave into the toilet. Poor Max is a bit under the weather and wanted nothing but the Wiggles, a popsicle, and his mom yesterday. Let me tell you what he doesn't want... the antibiotic he is suppose to be taking for his ear infection. I've tried bribing him with everything I can think of and finally resorted to having Randy hold him down while I squirted it down his throat. He proceeded to gag and scream and spit pink amoxicillin everywhere. I can't possibly keep doing
that twice a day for the next 10 days. What do I do?

Oh poor Max. I hope you figure something out, so the little guy starts feeling better!
Oh Maxi! That face! (oh...don't mind that jack just pooped in the tub as i typed that....uh....)
I'm back....
Anyway.. with all of the technology out there...couldn't they figure out a way to put an antibiotic in chocolate chip form?!?!? Seriously.
Oh that is so sad for poor Max! Nothing is worse than watching the little tiny ones be so sick. I hope he gets feeling better soon. I've heard that if you put antibiotics in applesauce, they can't even taste it. Don't know if it's true, but I was planning to try it next time my kids needed meds. However, I don't know if I'll get a chance, since my kids love that pink crap. Little druggies already.
poor max, sarah was telling me how sick he has been. i don't have any advice about the medicine because when chloe was little she ate that stuff like it was candy, she loved it (why doesn't that surprise me)
We are dealing with the same thing with Hayden (18 months) he would spit it out every where and didn't get any down so I started mixing it with yogurt in the morning and ice cream at night (cookies and cream or vanilla) Use a small scoop or half the yogurt and mix it really well and don't let him see you.
If that doesn't work call your doctor last time he had an ear infection they gave him a white antibiotic and he loved it. I had no problems giving him that medicine.
Good luck.
I thought now a-days they had like different flavors for the 'cillin, as in Amoxicillin. I swear that they do, because I recall my mom saying that she wished that they had it when I was a child and had double ear infections at least two to three times a month... lucky me.
