Hank Update #10

Last night Sarah and my dad came up to hang out with Hank while Randy and I went out to dinner.  How awesome is that?  Not to mention Scott and Jeri had Max all day and Jenni helped out this evening.  My family is amazing.  I have the most incredible family in the world, hands down, I just can't stress that enough.  Even those who are nowhere near Primary Childrens, offer their support in the form of phone calls, texts, e-mail, or care packages.  My family in Manti sent Hank a super soft Red Sox Blanket and he snuggled up to it all night.  My four moms in Laguna Beach sent me a gorgeous floral arrangement yesterday. I am amazed and overwhelmed everyday by your support.  I love you all so much.

Now for Hank's stats for the day.  His platelets are up to 95!  WooHoo!  His doctor is really happy about that.  His kidney function also improved.  They are talking more and more about him going home soon.  His potassium and phosphorus is still high so they have him on a really strict renal diet.  He isn't too happy about that but he knows that by sticking to it he can go home sooner.  If you are coming to visit, don't' bring any treats for him, or me for that matter.  I told him I would stay on the same diet he is on.  We are getting a new doctor tonight so it is up to her when he gets discharged.  That's all for now...more to come.

What wonderful news, today and yesterday, about the increased platelets and things moving forward. What a lesson in patience for Hank. And how nice to see progress. YAY!!!!! I posted yesterday but I apparently didn't fill something in as the comment didn't publish. Glad you got a night out.
I was out in some muck today cleaning up a pasture as part of a horse rescue project. Made me miss horses!
Love and hugs, esp. to HANK!

Just read update #10 and it sounds like Hank is going in the right direction. I understand this new doc has had more experience in cases of this kind, so she may just tell you to get packing and get home.
Feel like I should be doing something for you, but it sounds like you have lots of support up there. I will try to clean your house, do your washing and cook something amazing for you, when you get home. With that promise, maybe you can break out tonight!
Love you, and am so glad Hank is on the up side....a great big bump in the road..life just throws us this stuff, and we all just learn again, how to cope.
Kissess and hugs from me.,

Hi Annie, We are glad Hank is doing better, and I'm glad that you and Randy got to go out - I am sure you need it. We hope he gets to come home very soon! Nate reminds us every prayer we say to pray for Hank - hang in there!

Annie,
This is such good news. Hank is such a cutie and a little fighter. I am so excited for you guys. We are still praying for little Hank.
In fact, yesterday morning we were saying prayers and I said them. I forgot to pray for Hank. As soon as the prayer was done Eli said, "Mom, you didn't pray for Hank, we need to say another prayer for him." So we did.
We can't wait for you guys to get home and see little Hank again up and running around.
