Basketball season has started for both Hank and Max and I'm so thrilled! Basketball is my favorite sport to watch them play and they are seriously impressing me with their skills this season. Hank has started playing on a competitive team and boy what a difference a year makes.
They both remind me of Randy so much when they play. Max only has a few more games but Hank's season is just beginning.
I'm so impressed with the hard work and dedication his little team has. They had to get creative with practice time since there isn't anywhere for kids to play anymore. The solution was the Legacy Center at 5:50 a.m. twice a week. I can't believe these kids are up and at em' that early!
Sam is perfecting the art of being an irrational 2 year old. I changed his diaper the other day in the back of my car and he was certain I should let him ride the whole way home back there. He was hilarious until I told him no and put him in his car seat. Sometimes I'm amazed that he's stronger than me. Anyone who has struggled to put a screaming toddler in a car seat knows what I mean!
We've also had a string of strange illness around here. Poor Sam broke out with hives all over his body and I have no idea what caused it. It looked so painful but didn't seem to bother him much. Benedryl made him a little loco though!
He had an intense drumming session one night after his Benedryl. Sam called it his "bash". Once it finally went away, he woke up a few days later with a bright red "bash" all over his face.
This time it was only on his face, and it wasn't hives so Doctor Google helped me diagnose him with Fifths Disease. It's a virus that starts as a cold and then ends with a bright red rash on the cheeks which later moves to the arms and legs. Yay, another round of Benedryl! Hank ended up getting it as well after Sam's went away. I wish I could say Max escaped the illness at our house but he had a nasty bout with the stomach flu...TWICE! I struggled with a cold that turned into laryngitis while Randy proved to have the strongest immune system of our family. I'm not sure how he stayed healthy through all of that! Luckily everyone was feeling better by Thanksgiving.
