We're trying to squeeze every last second of summer in. The weekend after we returned from Lake Powell was filled with a baseball game, the Highland Fling Parade, and a 2nd place finish in a couples tournament for Randy and I. Sam even dared to go of the diving board.
Courtney hooked the Mets team up to be the Field of Dreams team at the Owlz game.
Hank got to stand on the field with the Owlz short stop.
Fun night for the entire fam!
The kids have logged some serious miles thanks to the popular game Pokemon Go! Colby even packed a backpack with low snacks and waters. This is a video game I can get behind!
Sam's accessory choices are my favorite thing ever.
Annalisa just had her sweet baby Wake and I had to take her to the ER to be checked out. I offered to take the baby home for a few hours. Nothing better than newborn snuggles. Thankfully it was a quick ER trip for her and everything is fine.
My little diabetics were getting along so well at the pool the other day. They both said they felt low at the same time and just so happened to be the exact same number.
Bring your own container to 7-11 day!
I got to take Hank and Max to the links on a gorgeous Sunday morning. We played 18 holes and they decided to move their bedrooms downstairs! They are growing up way too fast but this stage is my favorite. I love that we can do things like this together. Sam's a little unsure of being the only child upstairs but he gets his own room so I think he'll be o.k.
I've procrastinated my fundraising for the walk this year. I took this picture to show, no matter how much fun it looks like we're having, there is always plenty of this going on behind the scenes. Diabetes never has a day off and neither do these boys.
We decided to change our team name from Team Hank to Blood Brothers. I asked Trevor to design a shirt for us and I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out.
I expect to sell a ton of these shirts as our fundraiser.
Max and his Arsenal team have had a rough go of it this summer. They're a new team and got placed in a very competitive bracket. Some of these games have been straight up painful to watch. I'm so impressed with Max. He's never once said he wants to quit. He just keeps working harder.
After hearing a weird pop and having my knee feel out of place a few times I decided to get it looked at. Multiple doctors appointments, x-rays, and an MRI later, I've come to one conclusion...I'm old. And it sucks. Unfortunately this isn't a surgical fix but more than likely early arthritis. Such a bummer. Erica has a massage therapist who she claims is a miracle worker. I see her next week. I'm also scheduled to see a physical therapist friend of Randy's. Fingers crossed I can function normally soon.
During one of these long appointments, Randy took Sam to work. "JRI Insurance, this is Sam." I'd buy anything that kid was selling.
Randy and I just celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary. We spent the afternoon golfing and followed it by a fabulous night out in Park City. It was the perfect anniversary getaway. I couldn't be more grateful for the love of my life. We've created such a beautiful life together.
USA, USA, USA!!! We spend every night watching the summer Olympics.
The kids are almost as into it as I am. Sam's channeling his inner Michael Phelps.
Me and the Griffers are exhausted! I can honestly say we can't cram one more thing into our summer. It's been a good one, now time for school!
