2017 is off to a GREAT start!

Griffy started the year off with a darling new haircut.  Our love affair is real.  We can't hide our love.

Griffy wasn't the only one with a new year, new hair idea.  Max got a fresh bleach job to brighten up his winter.

Such a little nut job.

Sarah and I have fitness goals of our own this year which mean 5 a.m. muscle mix.  Seeing that 4 on the clock messes with me every time.  Also notice the 4 degree temps.  Brrrrrr!

In honor of Grandpa Karl who passed away 7 years ago today, we braved the elements and headed to Sundance.  I forgot my coat, lost my mom's helmet, we endured freezing rain with a crying 5 year old, Hank fell off the lift, and I don't think we'll ever be dry again.  Through it all, I couldn't help but think what would Karlito do?  He would ride out the storm and have great stories to tell, and that's just what we did.  He'd be so happy to see his legacy living on in this picture.

Poor Sam, the conditions were not easy for anyone.

Thank God for my mom.  She maintained a positive attitude and smile through it all.  We are so lucky to have her.  I was so impressed by her.  One day, maybe I'll be able to roll with the punches like her.

I wish I would've had more time to ski with my awesome uncles!

I'm trying to teach the boys how to make dinner.  Max is taking his job very seriously.

I even trusted him with a knife!

Sam is also enjoying cooking with mom.  Hank isn't quite as excited but he's doing it.  Things are off to a positive start!
