Eventful Weekend

What an action packed weekend! It started with Rick's arrival on Friday. We've missed him so much and it's been great to see him. He even managed to help Hank overcome his phobia of the wind. I looked outside and Rick was having Hank punch and kick the wind. Hank came in and told me he kicked the wind's butt! Only Rick would think of such a thing.

Saturday we had our first parade with the JRI Insurance truck. It was up in Eagle Mountain and I was amazed at how many people were participating in the festivities. On our way up to the parade I got a call from Sarah who informed me she was in the emergency room. She had been having migraine/stroke symptoms during the night and they were monitoring her. Luckily it was a just a really bad migraine and not a stroke or something more serious. I figured she would be home soon so we proceeded on to the parade.

We were all looking very festive in our JRI shirts. The truck turned out great. I'm quite impressed with all the work Randy and James have put into it.

I look pretty good holding a little girl. I snagged Erica from Darcelle for this picture. Jimmy and Hank were so excited to throw candy. Max and Erica were excited to eat the candy (most of the time with the wrapper on).

The parade finally got under way when I received a text from my mom saying "call me". She told me Sarah had another episode with the migraine and they were going to do an MRI on her and then take the baby later on that day. I was shocked and upset so I did what any good sister would do and jumped off the back of the truck and ran back to the car and headed to the hospital. I felt bad leaving the kids with Randy and Darcelle but they were so sweet and assured me that it would be ok if I left.

I will let Sarah go into the gory details on her blog but lets just say I was having some serious deja vu. Poor thing was pushing for 3 hours! Apparently we have the same retarded pelvis. She did so great and I was amazed at her strength. It was horrible to sit there waiting, feeling so helpless. I'm so glad I was there to witness my newest nephew's first cry. Even though I was out in the hall it was such an emotional experience. This sweet little boy has so many people who love him already. I'm sure Sarah will be posting numerous pictures of him, but for now, here is a picture of Jack William Jones. He's adorable!
