Sam is 2 months and Max's first trip to the ER

My little Sam turned 2 months this week!  Time is racing by at a rapid pace.  He continues to be the calm amongst the storm that is my life these days.  I can't imagine my life without him.  His relaxed, easy going personality is exactly what I needed.  I just love him so much.

I mean how could you not?  His little smile melts my heart.
He has started going to bed around 7 and wakes up around 4 to eat and then sleeps until 8.  Genius.

This was his outfit he wore for his 2 month check up.  He had no idea what was in store for him.  During his exam, Dr. Weipert noticed that his neck is really stiff on the right side.  This could be a result from me being right handed and doing things always on the same side.  He taught me some physical therapy to do on him twice a day. Sam really hates it.  It's mainly stretches and making sure we position ourselves on his left side so it forces him to look that way.  He assured me in a few weeks it would be better.  Hopefully he doesn't have to wear a helmet!
Here are his stats...since I'm sure everyone is dying to know.
Weight: 12 lbs. 2 oz. (60th percentile)
Height: 22 inches (16th percentile)
Head 40 cm  (49th percentile)

Max was there to hold his had for all his shots too.  Max keeps telling Sam "you're my best friend".
Speaking of Max, he had his first (and I'm sure not his last) trip to the emergency room on Sunday night.  It was a typical blood bath downstairs with Randy, Hank, and and Max.  They were throwing the big exercise ball at each other and Max took an extra hard blow to the head.  He collapsed on the ground saying he couldn't move and his neck hurt.  This went on for 15 minutes until he cried himself to sleep.  Randy carried him up to bed and we hoped he would wake up pain free.  Around 12:30 a.m. we awoke to Max's blood curdling scream.  He said he couldn't move his head.  Randy and I couldn't calm him down and didn't know what to do.  I was freaking out that he had meningitis or a broken neck so Randy loaded him in the truck and headed to the ER.  I stayed home with a sleeping Hank and Sam and prayed...hard.  I don't think I could handle one more thing going wrong.  I anxiously awaited Randy's call and prayed he wouldn't say the dreaded words...Primary Children's Hospital.  He called and said Max was feeling much better after having some Lortab.  Here are his x-rays.

No broken neck, no meningitis, just a pretty bad sprained neck.  Randy got home and Max was wide awake, feeling his lortab buzz until nearly 3:30 a.m.  He's doing much better now, thankfully!  The excitement never ends around here.

How in the name of all that's holy did you find time to blog today??? You're amazing. Period.

Sam is too much. He's turning into you more every day and...could there be a better temperament?

You guys need to stop trying to get attention. Throwing an ER visit in the mix? Too much!!!

See you bright and early!

Ps- you deserve an award!!!

What a blessing to have sweet Sam!

Thank goodness Max was ok. I think you should be kind of done, like forever, with hospitals.
