September has come and gone already! It was an extremely busy month for us. Here are some other random happenings that took place during September which I haven't previously blogged about.
Snow Springs Elementary had their first carnival so I took the boys to support their school. Dallin is becoming my adopted son and I love it! He is such a great friend to my boys.
On September 11th, Sam and I went to the cemetery to pay Grandma Joanne a visit. It would've been her 83rd birthday.
I miss her so much. My heart aches that she never got to meet Sam. She would've had loved this picture.
Griff's birthday celebration fell right between Sam and Max's. We had a little get together at our house in honor of his 60th birthday! I sure love this guy and I loved his reaction to the gift we gave him.
Sam passed his 2 year check up with flying colors. We discussed taking the binky away, galmp. I know it needs to happen. I'm just not ready quite yet and Sam's really not ready.
Here are his stats at 2 years old:
Weight: 27.12 lbs (38%)
Height: 35.75 (82%)
Sarah and Brett took a quick trip to Aspen so I got to watch Jack and Tucker one day. I took full advantage of Tucker not feeling very good. We cuddled most of the day and I loved it!
Our Thursdays and Saturdays are filled with action on the field from Hank and Max. They are doing incredibly well this season.
Max is impressing me so much. He scored 5 goals in his last game!
My boys love their fans. Grandpa and Sam enjoy the games almost as much the treats!
Grandpa Sherm and I have been trying to get together for a golf match all summer long. It took Randy planning our date to make it happen. I'm so glad he did. We played at Alpine Country Club and managed to avoid the flash flooding that was happening in the surrounding cities. It was an afternoon I will cherish forever. My dad decided to come last minute. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world to spend the afternoon with two of my favorite people.
There isn't a more precious father/son combo than these two. They melt my heart. Especially watching my grandpa make sure my dad had fresh water at ever hole. He still takes care of his little boy.
I accidentally took this great picture as I tried to teach my grandpa how to use the camera on my phone.
Grandpa tried his hardest to take a picture of me and my dad, too bad my eyes are closed. At least dad looks good.
Feast your eyes upon the boys school pictures this year. I can't get over how handsome and grown up they both look.
I'm so glad Max opted to wear his glasses in his picture.
Randy had an awesome opportunity to go to Daytona, Florida with James for 4 days. They got to play with the LPGA girls and had such a great time.
They also got to experience 170 mph at the Daytona Raceway. I'm so glad Randy was able to go. He deserves a little getaway. He works so hard.
I managed to hold the fort down pretty well while he was away. The boys were so well behaved for me. We went to a pizza buffet and then took a drive up the canyon to see the beautifully changing leaves. These boys are nuts but I love being their mom. There is a huge sense of accomplishment that comes with caring for all three of them by myself. That being said, I was sooooo ready for Randy to come home!
Rusty and Collette paid us a visit last week for a couple days. Sam and Owen had such a good time together but I found it nearly impossible to get a picture of them holding still. We went to the Dinosaur Museum one morning and Sam and Owen had a blast running wild. These two year old boys are way too busy to be bothered with pictures.
Owen wanted to be next to Hank and Max at dinner. We've named Max the "baby whisperer". Sam, Owen, and Lennon all want to play with Max and he is so good with them.
Rusty and Collette braved the freezing temps and came to Hank's football game one night. In fact, Sarah, Brett, and the boys along with my parents all came to cheer him on. Hank played his little heart out. He wanted to impress Rusty so bad. Hank's fans are definitely not fair weather fans!
It was so nice to see Rusty, Collette, and Owen. I'm glad they will be back for Thanksgiving.
Hank started mowing the lawn. It's his favorite chore which I know won't last. I'll enjoy it for now though.
My darling grandma just turned 83 yesterday. Kate, Sarah, mom, Jessie, Crystal, grandpa, and I all got together for lunch. It was such a great time!
I'm so lucky to have her in my life. After losing grandma Joanne, I am so grateful to still have grandma Yvonna. I hope I have her genetics. She is still sharp as a tack and the wittiest woman I know. She keeps up with me and all my kids activities and never seems to age. Man, I love her.
After barely golfing at all this summer we got a round in on Sunday with all 3 kids and Griff. Hank impressed us all with his incredible drives. He was the only one of us who managed to hit the green on this par 3.
Grandpa let him drive the cart while he hit his ball...uh scary!
This par 3 had nothing on Hank and I. We both ended up getting a par. It was such a proud mommy moment. Our entire family even completed all 9 holes! That's never happened before. Hopefully it wasn't our last outing before winter. The family that golfs together, stays together.
That wraps ups the random happenings of September. I'm looking forward to the fun and excitement October has to offer.
