A Night with the Jason's

If you know me at all you know I absolutely hate all things scary.  Specifically zombies, clowns, chainsaws, and men in the Jason mask.  Well lucky for me I had the opportunity of experiencing all my biggest fears in one show...and I paid 50 bucks to do so!  Sarah and her friends ended up having an extra ticket to Odyssey Dance Company's production Thriller so I jumped at the chance to go when they invited me.  I've always wanted to see it.  I didn't realize we were going to be on the front row...

Within the first 5 minutes, Sarah was harassed by a creepy clown.  After he gave her fake flowers he stood there and stared her down.  Soon the freaky clown music began and he broke out a big plastic knife.  It was a little unsettling to say the least.  I figured once Bubbles the clown was gone we were done being picked on for the night.  Boy was I wrong.  The minute the Jason number began, I just knew I would be their target.  I was visibly the most scared audience member and being on the front row I had nowhere to hide.  The second the chainsaws started, Jason ran down the steps to rip me from the audience and onto the stage.

They immediately began inspecting my appendages.  Just as they got out the hand saw a whistle blew and they put their tools away and whisked me over to the side of the stage.

He had to run back to his tool box to get a chainsaw of course.  Holy crap I hate that sound so much.  I may have screamed a little, or a lot.  I was shaking for the remainder of the show.  I don't know if it's because I was really that scared or just that embarrassed to be on the stage in front of an entire audience.  Either way, it was a night I will never forget.  Sarah's friends knew what they were doing when they invited me.

They even hunted Jason down after the show so we could get a picture taken with him. Thanks guys!
Sidenote...Sarah was freaking out just as much or more than I was.  There isn't a pal in this world who I would want to be sitting next to more than her in that situation.  She totally would've taken Jason down if he kept messing with me.  She's got my back for sure!
