I find it totally perfect that 311 would decide to throw Randy and I an epic concert for our 15th wedding anniversary. I think they owe it to us since we've seen them at least 15 times since we've been married. I was determined to get a pit pass and since they were only giving them out the afternoon before the concert, first come first serve, I had to get creative. I can't believe Nick didn't hook me up. I recruited Lucy's to ride up with me and get a pass for Randy. When you've seen a band as many times as I have, you just can't settle for the crappy seats.
Mission accomplished.
Being this close to my boyfriend was 100% worth it!
Randy totally agreed. I love his concert face! He was so cute to fight off all the annoying mosh pit guys so I could enjoy my spot close to the stage. I kept telling him we could move back but he insisted he was fine and continued to push everyone away from my blissful little concert bubble. I felt so bad when I saw all the bruises and scrapes after the concert. I had no idea it got that rough for him. This is one of the biggest reasons I love my man so much. He is the most selfless and giving person and will stop at nothing to make me happy. He never complains and genuinely loves to do things for me. I am the luckiest girl in the world to have him. Not to mention, he is my favorite person to spend time with. There is no one I would rather see 311 15+ times with. They've still got it, and so do we! I really think we are getting better with age.
Our actual anniversary happened to fall on the kids first day of school. I didn't want to miss it so we stayed put this year. I got reservations at one of our favorite restaurants, Communal, and Randy came home from work to surprise me with 3 bags from Nordstrom! He can pick out clothes for me better than I can. The jeans and top I'm wearing in this pic were just some of the darling clothes he spoiled me with. I'm typically an Old Navy shopper these days so he really showered me with gifts I would never buy for myself. Our lives have been so crazy this past year with him commuting to Cedar City every week for work. Our kids are getting older and their schedules are becoming more demanding. It's getting harder and harder for us to escape for a vacation alone but I know we will soon. The thoughts of relaxing on a beach with my man make me so excited! I'll just be patient for now and enjoy any minute I can get him all to myself.
We got dressed up for my cousin Chloe's wedding recently and enjoyed a beautiful day up at Sundance together. There's nothing like attending a wedding to make you reflect about your own wedding. I can't believe it's been 15 years, where has the time gone? We've literally grown up together and I can't imagine a life without Randy in it. I love my best friend with all my heart. Every year that love continues to grow. Here's to many, many more my love!
