Sam's Tooth Saga Continues...

This is the face of Sammy boy on a high dose of medication.  Sadly we found ourselves back at the pediatric dentist office just a few short months after his front teeth got fixed.  After the filling fell out, his tooth turned dark and really started to hurt my poor Sammy boy.  It was clear the nerve had died and there was nothing left to do for the poor tooth except pull it out.  I had so much anxiety the night before.  Sam won't get his permanent front tooth until he's 7!  That's a long time to go toothless but there is no point in dumping any more money into a baby tooth.  Luckily Randy could come with us for moral support.  The medication they gave him prior to the procedure worked like a charm.  He went from screaming to uncontrollable laughter.  I got some great videos of my drugged baby.

He struggled to keep his head up!

I was laughing so hard I was crying.  It was just the comic relief I needed before they yanked out his front tooth.

Sam was amused to find a T.V. on the ceiling when they brought him back.

He needed his Cane doll to help him be strong.  It didn't take much effort to get the tooth out and Sam handled it like a champ.

"Hey, my tooth is gone!".  He was a little loopy for the rest of the morning but there was no pain.  I'm relieved to have it over with and I have to say the toothless grin is growing on me.  He might be cuter without it.  It gives him even more character than he already had!

We left the dentist and headed straight to Larry H. Miller Ford to pick up the newest member of the Griffin family.

Randy got a well deserved truck upgrade.  He's giddy about it.

She's a beaut!!
