Rusty, Collette, Owen, Cole, and Rick came to town for the 4th and it was non-stop fun for a week! We loved having the Griffin's stay with us. Here are a few highlights from the week.
A trip to the Lehi Pool was a must.
Cole kept me entertained every meal time. This kid can eat!
Such a little cutie. He found the plastic drawer!
While the Griffin's were in town, we purchased a new boat! I'm not sure what we need 2 boats for but this one is a much larger version of the one we already have. It will be perfect to take the entire family to the lake this week.
Sam made quick friends with the sellers dog.
Fun night playing shuffleboard with the sisters in law. We kicked the boys butts.
Rusty found Randy's laser helmet! Hahaha!
Jeri hosted a fun 4th of July BBQ.
Hornet swatting became a competitive event.
What is Jeri taking a picture of?
Griffy of course!
Classic Mino
Thankfully there were no explosions this year. The fireworks were awesome!
Randy and I organized a day at Jordanelle Reservoir for the entire family. We were so excited to try out our new boat.
Lennon and Owen were fearless. Poor Jenni had to stay on the beach. She was too nervous watching Lennon out there.
Ricky forgot his sunscreen. He was hurting the next day.
The best part of the new boat is all the room in the back. Everyone fit so comfortably.
And she says she's not a dog lover.
Randy and I taking a quick dip.
Rusty and his family as well as our family decided to spend the night in Heber so we could boat the following day.
Again, stupid diabetes didn't cooperate during the night. It didn't seem to affect the boys one bit. Me on the other hand...
We had a beautiful day of boating ahead of us so I downed a gallon of coffee and I was ready to rock.
Boating life is the best life.
What an awesome crew of boys I have with me. I'm one lucky girl.
We had to squeeze in a routine eye exam in the middle of all the fun. Thankfully diabetes hasn't harmed the boys eyes yet. Such a relief. Max asked the doctor if he could ditch his glasses and give contacts a try.
He said yes and Max is now a contact wearing kid! I'm amazed how quickly he learned how to put the contact in.
I've got to give my man mad props. He did everything he could to make sure his family had a great time while they were in town. He is the party planner extraordinaire and the glue holding his family together. For our final activity, he hooked the entire family up with a trip to Top Golf, thanks to his connection with Tony Finau.
Good times were had by all! I love this crazy family. There's never a dull moment.
The day after everyone returned home, Randy and I took Dyson to the Logic and G-Easy concert. He's been babysitting for months to earn his VIP ticket.
It was both surreal and awesome to enjoy a concert with my almost 18 year old nephew. He was so excited and appreciative of everything that night. I can't wait for many more concerts with D-Money.
