Mexico Part 2

We couldn't leave Cancun without at least one excursion.  Randy found us the most authentic Mexican adventure around.  Everyone was a little nervous getting to our destination, as we picked up a bunch of random people along the way, but it turned out to be legit.

We were psyched to get on our ATVs.

After a sweet ride through the jungle, we came to our first sink hole.

Our guide freaked us out by telling us about all the crazy snakes in the water.  I was more afraid of that than jumping or zip lining.

Let me tell you who wasn't scared!  While everyone else in our group contemplated the height to jump from, Randy just did it.

Hey may or may not have burst his ear drum as he jumped from the highest platform.

Brandon showed no fear.

I hate heights and the feeling of falling but when in Cancun, you jump.

It freaked me out every time I jumped.  I tried to convince Gina to join me but she wasn't having it.

Next up was the zip line.  When I say authentic Mexican adventure, I mean we held on to a piece of wood attached to the zip line.  No safety harnesses in sight.
Of course Randy went first, upside down.

He got a little cocky and attempted a back flip on one of his turns.  A severely bruised back was the result.  The poor guy was hurting.

I was hesitant at first but I must say, zip lining into water is my jam.

I could have done it all day.  I felt like a little kid.

Gina loved it as well.

I'm glad she decided to let go before she hit the wall!  We loaded back on our 4 wheelers and rode to another beautiful sink hole.

This sink hole couldn't be seen until you jumped into it.  Our guide warned us of hundreds of bats hanging on the rocks.  Even Randy was a little nervous to jump.

Don't let the smile fool you, I was terrified.

The jump was totally worth it.  Oh and the guide wasn't joking about the bats.

Everyone had a turn reenacting Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" video.

I found a zip line and couldn't help myself.

We had one final adventure to go.  This time we were equipped with harnesses as we zip lined through the jungle.  I'm still not convinced it was 100% safe but it was 100% fun!

Such a fun day with just the right amount of adventure.

We had baskets of chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us when we returned home.

We had yet to experience Cancun night life and it was a must for me.  Brandon and Gina were exhausted and stayed back.  Randy and I got our second wind and headed to the club.  The energy downtown was electric.

Randy made time for a friendly arm wrestle with this random dude.

That's a happy girl right there.  Our night ended with a delicious ice cream cone from McDonald's while we waited for the bus.  They have Oreo cones in Mexico.  So genius.

Our final day in Cancun was spent doing what we do best.

I had to say farewell to my boyfriend.

So did Randy.

Randy actually had many friends he made during the week he had to say farewell to.  He truly is in his element speaking Spanish with the locals.

I love this girl.  We had a week to remember.  I realize what a sacrifice it was for her to leave work and her kids for a week.  It enhanced the entire trip having her and Brandon with us.  I can't wait for many more vacations with the two of them.

This was just the trip the two of us needed.  Life gets so crazy, its so nice to relax and be together with no distractions.

I love this man with my whole heart.  Always have, always will. Here's to many more adventures together.  Farewell Cancun!
